An elegant Austro-Hungarian .800 silver two-tier sweetmeat stand or centerpiece in the Rococo style, dating to the late 19th century. The piece features two finely engraved circular tiers supported by an ornate scrolling framework, surmounted by a pierced foliate handle. The lower section is decorated with three playful putti musicians seated on the tripartite base, each holding instruments—a flute, cymbals, and a triangle—adding to the charm and allegorical character of the work. The Rococo influence is evident in the elaborate scrolls, shell motifs, and decorative flourishes. Marked with the Dianakopf (Diana’s head) silver hallmark within a lobed cartouche, and with the master’s mark AB, confirming Austro-Hungarian origin and .800 fineness.
