Sold Out

This elegant Art Nouveau tazza dates to circa 1910 and is of German origin. The piece is centered by a finely modelled solid silver female figure forming the stem, rendered in a classical flowing pose typical of early 20th-century Jugendstil design. The figure supports a broad, scalloped circular glass plate, creating a visually dramatic and sculptural centerpiece.

The silver base is richly worked with floral and organic motifs and stands on a footed plinth. The piece bears German silver marks for .800 purity to the interior edge of the base and was later additionally marked with English 925. The glass plate is a later replacement, sympathetically chosen and consistent with the form and period aesthetic.

This tazza would have originally functioned as a decorative centerpiece or serving dish and remains an impressive display object combining sculpture and functional design.
